Closing out the work year

I ended the year at work on a great note. We had excellent numbers, so we got a 17% bonus. I always put 90% of any bonus into my retirement plan, but I use the other 10% to reward myself and remind myself that I earned it.

See the faucet picture? That’s what I’m buying with my bonus. I love great designer things, and this will be perfect in my powder room. It’s as beautiful in real life as in the photo, a restaurant I went to recently had them in their bathrooms. It feels great to use as well. DH and I have not yet decided if we will get the manual or the electronic version. Hansa Germany is the manufacturer.

Even finished a great project that brought millions to our bottom line and was hailed as one of the most successful strategic projects of the year. Plenty of reason to rest on my laurels, even if only til January 8.
