France: Delightful, as ever

We made our annual Three Kings pilgrimage to Strasbourg today. It’s really all about the food, since the only consistent things we do are have a fabulous lunch and buy a Galette du Roi, puff pastry with an almond cream.
We visited the cathedral and saw many of the tapestries - wonderful. We ended up lunching at Chez Yvonne, a charming restaurant near the cathedral. I ate Coq au Riesling, essentially Coq au Vin with Riesling, of course. Then we had a fabulous cheese course, and perfect cafe creme. It’s hard to see in the photograph, but they’ve decorated the outside of the wine bar with stuffed polar bears. Cute.
