Farina Soup
19 April 2007 by livingrainbowcolor
Griesskloesschen Suppe is a fine German delicacy. Made from a delicate broth, refined by tiny bits of fresh vegetables, it’s a delight for the senses.
The crowning effect for the soup is the dumplings made from farina (semolina). A little egg, a little butter, and they mix up into teaspoon-sized bites of deliciousness.
Once the dumplings have all been eaten, you are left with the tasty broth, which you sip nicely. All in all, a fine meal. Elegant, worthy of the most sophisticated occasion.
Unless, of course, you happen to snort the soup backwards out of your nose.
