Lessening Hunger
25 August 2007 by livingrainbowcolor
Now that jet lag is almost behind me, I notice that I’m significantly less hungry than before my trip. Only it leans a little towards the not hungry due to emotions side. Or maybe it’s still the jet lag speaking.
Yesterday I skipped breakfast, then ate a good lunch. In the evening, I ate about half a normal portion. Nothing else until I found I couldn’t sleep, whereupon I got up for half an hour, ate a snack, and slept well after that.
Today I’ve started the same way, but I’ve eaten a bit more, so we’ll see how it goes. I haven’t yet figured out which emotions I might be having, so maybe it’s my imagination. Who knows, maybe I’ve just moved to a new lower level of physical hunger.
- I focused last evening on a project and didn’t even think about food
- I’m experimenting with smaller portions all the time. The last couple of meals I’ve been cutting some items in half, just to see what happens
- I’m feeling very recovered and successful
- Puttering around the house gives me a lot of satisfaction
- I’m looking for more things to reinforce in positive ways, because I like how the progress feels
