Results from my Goal Period: approximately Aug 7 - Aug 24
Thinking Goals
Choose every day to do things that make me feel happy. Did a good job of both doing things and reminding myself to do things that make me happy.
Spend half an hour alone in contemplation. Maybe only 1-5 times did I do this specifically, but I did have lots of quiet time.
Activity Goals
Walk, walk, walk. Did this a lot, but less than I hoped, due to the heat.
Keep my vacation focus on fun, not achieving 71 cities in 14 days. Yes!!
Eating Goals
Make a deliberate taste experience at every eating experience. Yes. I’m quite good at this now.
Choose foods that will satisfy me both emotionally and physically every day. Yes, especially during vacation.
Goal Period: approximately July 24 - Aug 7
Thinking Goals
- Finish the Pathway to Normal Eating posts to solidify my thinking. Six finished, 3 to go!
- Write my positives daily. Nearly daily - it’s getting easier to forget.
Activity Goals
- Discover at least 1 new pool. Changed to walking daily. Missed 3 times.
- Repeat useful affirmations while exercising, at least 2 minutes per session. Works very well, generally doing more than goal.
Eating Goals
- Continue to Quit the Clean Plate Club by throwing away food on my plate at least once a day until August 7. Yay! This is becoming a habit.
- Choose a smaller portion than I initially think I want, at least 1x per day. Did this every day.

Thinking Goals
- Write the Pathway to Normal Eating posts to solidify my thinking.
- Finished halfway
- Read my mission statement every day for 2 weeks.
- Done!
Activity Goals
- Swim as often as possible this week, to get maximum enjoyment out of the pool before it closes in July and August.
- Done! swam about 4x per week
- Exercise my stiff knee daily until I don’t notice stiffness anymore.
- Done, but still a little stiff
Eating Goals
- Quit the Clean Plate Club by throwing away food on my plate at least once a day for 2 weeks.
- Yay! I discovered that I can leave food on my plate regularly
- Taste, really focus on the taste of each food I eat for at least one bite every meal for 2 weeks.
- Done!!
